gluglu는 연희동의 샤퀴테리 브랜드 Thursday Stuffing이 오픈한 레스토랑이다. Thursday Stuffing의 샤퀴테리뿐만 아니라 제철 채소와 해산물 등 다양한 식재료를 바탕으로, 브런치부터 디너까지 기본에 충실한 메뉴를 선보인다. 이탈리아어로 술을 따를 때 나는 소리와 스페인어의 보글거리는 소리를 함께 떠올리게 하는 이름처럼, gluglu의 디자인은 ‘거품’을 조형화한 원형 모티프를 로고와 조명에 적용해 밝고 즐거운 인상을 만든다.
gluglu is a restaurant opened by Thursday Stuffing, a charcuterie brand based in Yeonhui-dong. Alongside Thursday Stuffing’s charcuterie, it offers honest, well-executed menus from brunch through dinner, using a wide range of ingredients such as seasonal vegetables and seafood. True to its name—evoking the sound of pouring a drink in Italian and bubbling in Spanish—the design translates “bubbles” into a circular motif, applied to the brand logo and lighting to create a bright and joyful impression.
브랜드 이미지를 담은 원형 펜던트 조명은 벽 거울에 반사되어 공간을 입체적으로 보이게 하고, gluglu라는 이름이 가진 ‘거품이 이는 소리’를 거품 형태로 은유적으로 표현한다. 또한 작고 컴팩트한 공간의 한계를 보완하기 위해 효율적인 평면을 구성하고, 벽면에 거울을 설치해 공간이 더 넓어 보이도록 했다.
Circular pendant lights that embody the brand’s imagery are reflected in wall mirrors, giving the compact space a more dimensional feel. The “bubbling” sound implied by the name gluglu is expressed metaphorically through bubble-like forms. To overcome the limitations of a small footprint, the plan was organized efficiently and mirrors were installed on the walls to make the space feel larger and more open.
